Tandoori dishes Tandoori dishes are the result of a combination of the style of tandoori food and the oven it is cooked in. Tandoori dishes are marinated in yoghurt with the appropriate herbs and spices and then cooked in a tandoor. The tandoor itself is a barrel shaped, open topped clay oven which is kept at a very high temperature with burning charcoal. The process of cooking in this way seals in the goodness and imparts unique and very special flavour to the food. Served with salad and yoghurt sauce.
